European Eel
This fish is known as European Eel and the correct latin name is Anguilla anguilla. The family that this fish belongs to is called the Freshwater Eel family. (e) Origin of this fish is Europan coast. (e)
European Eel can grow up to 130 cm what is approximately 51 inches. So 1 specimen requires at least 15600cm2 of water surface which is approximately 2418 square inch. This fish should be kept in aquariums that are very large. (e) Medium aquariums have at least 113 Litres (30 US Gallons). Large aquariums have at least 265 Litres (70 US Gallons). Very large aquariums hold at least 700 Litres (185 US Gallons).
It is not very difficult to keep the European Eel fish. (e) This is not a tropical saltwater, freshwater; brackish fish. It needs temerature from 4 to 20°C. This fish is not good for normal house auqarium.
