Character and suggestions regarding care
This is a peaceful aquarium fish.
Bluecheek Butterflyfish can grow up to 23 cm what is approximately 9 inches. In general, 1 specimen requires at least 2760cm
2 of water surface which is approximately 427 square inch. It is recommended to raise this species in fish tanks that are large. (
e) Medium aquariums have at least 113 Litres (30 US Gallons). Large aquariums have at least 265 Litres (70 US Gallons). Capacity of very large aquariums is at least 700 Litres (185 US Gallons).
It is not very difficult to keep the Bluecheek Butterflyfish. (
e) The specific gravity (SG) should be between 1,020 and 1,025, the temperature between 23°C (73.4°F) and 26°C (78.8°F). The recommended pH level is between 8.0 and 8.3 since marine fish are used to these levels in general.
Bluecheek Butterflyfish is a shy fish and needs shelter as caves or just some kinds of bigger holes in the rocks. Since this is a shy fish, it should be housed in one tank with other peaceful fish who do not terrorize other fish. Another interesting thing is that this fish doesn’t like brighter light.
Chaetodon Semilarvatus should eat all the frozen food, mussels, mysis, noris, shrimps, krill, than dried flakes, tablets. But it may eat corals too.
